The 45th annual Mattoon Arts Festival will be Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. The outdoor arts and crafts show is held on a quaint street of restored brick Victorian rowhouses. Reputed to be one of the nicest street fairs in New England, it is organized by neighborhood volunteers to raise funds for maintaining and enhancing the area. The Festival also includes a few food vendors. Attendance averages 4,000 people.
Only works created by an exhibitor may be sold. An application should include three color photographs of your work and one of your work space (not your booth). Applications will be reviewed in mid-January and mid-March. If accepted, you will be contacted to send the registration fee of $130. Do NOT send a check with the application.
Registration includes $5 worth of food coupons good with our food vendors. First and second place prizes of $50 and $25 are awarded in each of eight judging categories. Ten-foot by ten-foot exhibit spaces on our brick sidewalks can be accessed by car for easy set-up and break-down. Many spaces are tree-shaded. Non-amplified, strolling musicians entertain daily.
Feel free to call (413) 736-0629 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. We hope you will consider being one of the artists and artisans to exhibit with us in September.
